En dépit de Mentor qui le grognait sans cesse
Il butinait chaque matin
Les plus brillantes fleurs pour sa tendre maîtresse,
Fleurs dont la piquante drolesse
Ornait sa gorge de satin.

In spite of Mentor who grumbled without zealing
